Level Sensors and Floats
Level Sensors are also known as "Float Switches". We use this term to describe Reed Sensors for level monitoring where the magnet (in a float) is installed together with the Sensor to form one unit. These are available as normally open (Form A) and normally closed (Form B) depending on the version. Customer-specific dimensions and several switching points can also be realised.
We also offer a variety of Floats for use with our Reed Chains or the development of individual solutions.
Reed Chains for continuous level sensing
Our Reed Chains for simple and effective continuous measuring of liquid levels. The modular design enables simple length customisation!

How does a Level Sensor work?
A Reed Switch is located inside a vertical tube. An external float with integrated magnet rises or falls along the tube and actuates the Reed Switch depending on the level. The actuation principles correspond to those of the Reed Switch.
Level Sensor advantages
- No power supply required
- Numerous housing materials available
- Normally open contact ( Form A ) and normally closed contact
( Form B ) - Suitable for food contact (FDA and NSF)
- Individual, customer-specific versions available
